University of Maine representatives will hold three separate public meetings next week in the towns of Bristol, Friendship and Port Clyde to discuss a power line that might pass through any of the towns before linking with a proposed floating wind farm off Monhegan Island. Eolian Renewable Energy's planned wind project in Orland, Maine, is set to go ahead after residents voted in favor of the project. The 9-megawatt proposed wind energy facility on Whites Mountain is expected to generate enough electricity for about 2,700 homes.
